Trip reports
Welcome to the Food Microbiology PhD Trip 2008 site.
From June 20 till July 4 2008 a trip to the south eastern part of Canada was scheduled. Toronto, Guelph, Ottawa and Montreal were visited by 16 PhD students and one accompanying professor. The aim of this trip was to gain knowledge about research and applications in the field of food microbiology at an international level. We visited universities, institutes and companies. During the visits we presented our research, got an insight into the Canadian research and there was some time for discussion. Also tours around the companies or universities were part of the program. Additionally, we organized a one day symposium together with the University of Guelph. This trip helped us to build a network of acquaintances with whom we possible can collaborate in the future.
A list of all
